Geriatrics
I have a serious passion for geriatric nutrition.

Many of our seniors are malnourished for various reasons. I would love to help the individual seniors, as well as those who are caretakers.

It is a fact that people over 50 require more protein than those younger—and the reason is repair. My biology degree helps in this area.

When working with a geriatric individual (or caretaker), nutrition, hydration, and movement must be addressed.

For geriatrics, the client and caregiver/family member are covered. It is often more important to educate the caregiver/family member. This education portion focuses on not only actual nutrition but also the most common issues facing our aging community. This can be the most challenging group of people to work with, but they are the ones who need the most assistance.

The initial consultation includes questions and answers, but the biggest part is that I will find out what your main concerns are and spend the next few days researching to ensure you get the most personalized care possible. There are no templates or "one-size-fits-all" things with me. It is 100% personalized. Each person is an individual, and your nutrition needs are as well.

Hourly:
This is exactly what it sounds like. The hourly rate is $100 per hour. This can be a consultation, weekly sessions to discuss, or even just a question-and-answer session. It is the most cost-effective option for those who need only a little push.

Packages:
Package One ($500) includes an introductory consultation to discuss your personal needs/goals. This session can take anywhere from 30 minutes to two hours. I want clear communication, and I will answer all questions I can and ask all questions I can think of to make sure you get what you are looking for.

It also includes a weekly check-in (for one month). At each check-in, we will discuss your progress and what you may be struggling with, give advice/help to make improvements and make adjustments to help you meet your goals. A big part of this is accountability.

At the end of the month, you have the option of a final session where we wrap things up or extend for another month. Each additional month is charged at $400.

Package Two ($750) includes everything Package One has and adds more communication and cheerleading. This package includes the above and bi-weekly texts and/or voice call check-ins and encouragement. This package is recommended for those who do best with more feedback and motivation.

Package Three (price varies) includes all the above plus prepared meals. This is for those who need that extra push to try new types of meals or are time-limited. The price varies due to ingredients, preparation time, and distance to deliver food. For geriatrics only, I also offer home-cooked packaged and labeled meals to help those who may tend to forget to eat. I can also call/text to remind those to eat regularly. I am not a certified chef, but I do love to cook and love to feed people. What I make is simple and something anyone can make. If you chose this option as a caregiver/family member and also want to learn how to make what I do - that can also be arranged. Please note: I do not cook meat or mushrooms. I can provide you with healthy recipe options that include both, but I do not cook either.
